Our Puppy Process and cost

At RVA Doodles, we are dedicated to giving our puppies the best possible start in life. Our puppies are raised using an advanced puppy curriculum designed to build a solid foundation for their lifelong development. From day one, they are lovingly raised inside our home, where they are exposed to a nurturing environment that promotes healthy socialization and prepares them to seamlessly integrate into their new families.

Our goal during these critical first eight weeks is to raise well-rounded, well-socialized family members. Throughout this process, we stay in regular contact with you, providing updates, sharing photos, and posting important milestones on our Facebook page. This ensures you feel connected to your puppy every step of the way, as they grow and prepare to join your family.

We are committed to helping our puppies—and their future families—start their journey together with love, care, and confidence. At RVA Doodles, we pride ourselves on raising high-quality, premium Goldendoodle puppies. 

Please note: Our puppies are sold as pets only and come with a mandatory spay/neuter contract to maintain responsible breeding practices. All our puppies come with a spay and neuter agreement, and we require that dogs be spayed or neutered by 12 months of age at the cost of the purchaser. This ensures the long-term health and well-being of your pet while maintaining the integrity of our breeding program.

Pricing

Our Goldendoodle puppies are priced at $2,500 due at time of pickup, and a $200 non-refundable deposit required to reserve your spot on the waitlist. Puppies with unique or rare coat patterns-such as phantom or merle-are priced at $3,000 due to the added genetics involved in producing these exceptional colors. 

Reserving Your Puppy

We accept reservation fees for our upcoming planned litters, but only a limited number of spots are available. Once the puppies are born and we know how many are in the litter, we’ll open any remaining spots. To reserve a puppy, please start by completing the Puppy Application on our website. Approval is required before submitting the reservation fee.

Selecting Your Puppy

Puppy selection begins when the puppies are 6 to 8 weeks old, depending on the specific litter. This is scheduled on a weekend for the convenience of families on our reservation list. If you are unable to come to our home for puppy picks we can schedule a Facetime call. At RVA Doodles, we reserve the right to keep the first and second pick of each litter. Afterward, families will choose their puppies in the order that reservation fees were received. We do not maintain separate reservation lists for males or females, as this ensures flexibility for all families.

Picking Up Your Puppy

Puppy pick-up will take place at our home once the puppies are ready to leave (around 8 weeks of age). Each puppy will come with:

• Age-appropriate vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian

• A health letter from a licensed veterinarian

• A go-home bag that includes:

• Purina Pro Plan High Protein Puppy Food DHA Lamb & Rice Formula (6 lb. Bag)

• A blanket with the scent of their mom and littermates

• A toy and other essentials

We will provide you with all the necessary information and resources to ensure a smooth transition for your puppy into their new home.

Payment Policy

Our payment process is as follows:

• A non-refundable deposit can be made via Venmo, Check or Zelle.

• Final payment must be made in cash at the time of puppy pick-up.
