Spay and Neuter Contract - RESPONSIBLE BREEDING pRACTICES

Responsible Breeding Practices

RVA Doodles is dedicated to ethical and responsible breeding to ensure every puppy is healthy, well-socialized, and ready for their forever home. Our goal is to uphold the highest standards in the Goldendoodle community.

What Responsible Breeding Means to Us

Temperament Selection: We choose dogs with calm, friendly, and loving temperaments to pass on these qualities to their puppies.

Socialization: From birth, our puppies are raised in a home environment, surrounded by love and exposure to different sights, sounds, and experiences to build confidence.

Limiting Litters: We prioritize the well-being of our dogs by allowing them sufficient rest between litters and retiring them when appropriate.

Why Responsible Breeding Matters

By following ethical breeding practices, we help preserve the Goldendoodle’s wonderful traits, ensure puppies are physically and emotionally ready for their new homes, and contribute to the reputation and longevity of the breed.

By working together, we can promote a future of healthy, happy Goldendoodles. At RVA Doodles, we are committed to the health and well-being of every puppy we raise. To ensure this, we require all our puppies to be spayed or neutered by a specific age. This is an important step in promoting responsible pet ownership and supporting the ethical breeding of Goldendoodles.

Why Spay or Neuter?

Spaying or neutering is essential for:

• Preventing unwanted litters: Overpopulation is a serious issue, and spaying and neutering help reduce the number of homeless pets.

• Health benefits: Dogs that are spayed or neutered often live healthier lives, with a reduced risk of certain cancers and reproductive diseases.

• Improved behavior: Sterilized pets may exhibit fewer behavioral issues, such as marking, aggression, or roaming.

Your Role as a Puppy Parent

When you choose a puppy from RVA Doodles, you become part of our extended family. We encourage all owners to spay/neuter their dogs to prevent unplanned litters, continue their dog’s socialization and training for lifelong happiness, take their puppy to the veterinarian to complete vaccination schedules and ensure regular yearly check-ups, schedule regular grooming appointments (typically every 6-8 weeks) to maintain healthy, tangle-free coats, and keep in touch with us—we love seeing updates on our puppies!

Contract Terms

By purchasing a puppy from RVA Doodles, you agree to the following:

1. Spay/Neuter Deadline: Puppies must be spayed or neutered by 12 months of age unless otherwise specified in the contract.

2. Proof of Procedure: A veterinary certificate confirming the procedure must be submitted to RVA Doodles.

3. Failure to Comply: Non-compliance may result in a penalty fee as outlined in the purchase agreement or other legal action to protect the integrity of our breeding program.

We trust our puppy owners to honor this agreement and act in the best interest of their furry family member.
